David Donald – Talking Politics and the Spoken Word Project

The ‘Talking Politics’ collection was amalgamated by the Spoken Word Project’s Principal Investigator David Donald. Mr Donald is a Senior Lecturer in Politics and Government at Glasgow Caledonian University where he has taught for forty years.
He studied at Strathclyde and Glasgow Universities and was a Senior Visiting Scholar at the Department of Applied Economics, University of Cambridge. He has been elected to executive committees of both the Political Studies Association of the UK and of the American Political Science Association.
The ‘Talking Politics’ collection comprises around seventy programmes from the BBC archive. The collection consists of a wide range of programming with a political flavour. Mr Donald has made use of the ‘Talking Politics’ collection both in teaching and through collaborative blogs that are hosted by Spoken Word Services.
