Our thanks to Glasgow Caledonian University Audio-Visual Services for assistance in recording this series of video interviews.

The ‘Talking Economics’ collection is curated by Alan Hutton. Mr Hutton is a Political Economist who holds a senior lecturing post in Economics at Glasgow Caledonian University where he has taught for the past forty years. His particular academic interests lie with ’social’ and ‘institutionalist’ economics and the Scottish tradition of political economy.

Mr Hutton first got involved with the Spoken Word through a life long professional and personal relationship with the project’s Principal Investigator David Donald. This collection of programmes is funded by the Higher Education Academy Economics Network and includes BBC archive materials on the subjects of nationalisation, privatisation and regulation.

The collection is designed to support fourth year honours economic modules currently being taught at Glasgow Caledonian University. There are currently around 100 hours worth of materials within the compilation.
