Linux evolves for mobile phones

It has been in the pipeline for a number of years now but it looks like Linux is finally on its way to a mobile phone near you thanks to some Ubuntu developers and Intel.

Ubuntu programmers have just announced that they are working on a mobile version of their Debian-based Linux OS through a partnership with Intel. Intel plans to use the OS with a new low-power processor and chipset in smartphones.

Ubuntu is making news for all the right reasons. Dell recently announced their plans to launch their products which would be delivered to the customers with Ubuntu Linux preloaded.
